El Classico 1000 by Evan

Today I woke up.  I was so excited because Real Madrid were playing Barcelona for their 1000th time. They were playing up in space and I thought, Well what a start! So i turned on the TV, and settled on the couch for the kick off

In the first minute Real Madrid scored. At half time the score was 1- nil. Barcelona tipped off when Messi ran passed the team and scored. All square now, when Ronaldo gets the ball but Messi intercepts and goes for an overhead kick. The ball hits off a spaceship and rockets into the top corner.

The End 2-1!!

  1. Well done on completing your first 100 Word Challenge Evan! A football match in space – what a great idea! And after all, Real Madrid *are* called the Galacticos!! (Or they used to be!) How unfortunate for Madrid that the ball deflected off the spaceship! I loved your story this week, it’s so well written and I can’t wait to read what you will write next week. Well done Evan!

  2. A great story Evan. A nice helping hand to Barcelona by the space ship. Maybe they just weren’t “Real” fans!!! Well done and i can’t wait too read your next story 🙂

  3. Hi Evan. What a brilliant use of your imagination – A football match in space. I’d like to see that! I don’t know much about the game, but I do hear those names quite a bit in this house! It sounds to me like that Spaceship might have been a plant! Well done on your very clever take on the prompt!

  4. Hi Evan,
I really enjoyed reading your 100-word challenge.
First of all, I loved the title – it immediately drew me in and I wanted to read more. And it didn’t disappoint me! It was a novel idea having the match in Space and I loved how the winning goal hits off the spaceship and rockets into the top corner. Well done on a great first entry to the 100wc.
    Keep up the great work.

    I enjoyed your imaginative story.
    Keep up the great work.
